Shower Curtain Games for Kids

Executive summary about Shower Curtain by Erin Carson

Out of a simple shower curtain, craft a variety of kinesthetic games that will help children learn new skills while having fun.

1.   Math Games

Make a hundreds chart that allows students to practice their math facts by going skipping down along the chart to find number facts. Turn it into a kinesthetic learning game by laying the chart on the floor and allowing students to jump forward on it.

2.   Language Arts Games

Divide the curtain into boxes, and write a sight word in each box. Have students flip a beanbag onto the curtain and then recite the word it lands on. Write the letters of the alphabet on the shower curtain. Younger students can use the curtain to review their alphabet while older students play the beginning sounds game. Students toss their beanbag onto the curtain and must think of words that begin with the letter shown there. If you are working on spelling, facilitate a spelling bee by having students stand on the letters needed to spell the words you call out. Make a twister game to reinforce different classroom skills by marking skill sets on the curtain, such as beginning sounds, alphabet letters or phonemic awareness.

Making Your Bathroom Elegant

There are many different designer shower curtains, a hookless shower curtain, novelty shower curtains, children’s’ shower curtains and decorative shower curtain rods to hang them all on to choose from.

From Imperial Paisley satin fabric curtains to Southbeach Seashell fabric curtains, there are designer shower curtains just right for your bathroom shower curtain needs. The hookless shower curtain is the latest to hit the market with rings called Flex on rings which allow you to hang your hookless shower curtain without taking down your shower curtain rod. This gives your hookless shower curtain the look of a ‘threaded’ shower curtain. It’s as if the rod is threaded through the circle openings in the bathroom shower curtains.

What type of shower curtain do we use for the children’s bathroom?  A grown up shower curtain simply will not do. You can choose from boys and girls and unisex styles for children’s shower curtain. Depending on your shower curtain choice, you might want to consider shear curtains with a decorative shower curtain rod.
